Pilates, my story

Blog Jacqueline Blog

Pilates allows me to help people discover their internal potential. I discovered myself in a crisis. In my professional career I have participated in many triathlons and extreme Ironman runs. I was successful and constantly exceeded my limits. At one point my body said quite enough - I suffered a serious injury. That's how my path to understanding my body began - I discovered Pilates.
It all starts in 2003. It was then that I took full Pilates training in the "Stott Pilates" system and decided to open my own studio in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada. I ran them successfully for the next seven years.
In 2008 I moved to Vancouver, where I did the classic "Romana Pilates" training at Noam Gagnon school. However, I felt unsatisfied - I wanted to better understand the classical philosophy of Joseph Piltes. That's how I found Jay Grimes. I worked hard to qualify for "The Work" - his intensive, one-year mentoring program in Los Angeles. I felt it was my own way to fully experience Joseph Pilates' Contrology system. I became the first and only Canadian accepted to the program. Thanks to this, I am one of 12 teachers of the classic Pilates method around the world today.

I came to Poland for the first time in 2018 to present the classic Jay Grimes Lineage line - I didn't think I would stay here longer. However, life can surprise. As a result, I trained 25 teachers from all over Poland, conducted workshops for groups and individuals, constantly improving my workshop.
I value Pilates, because you can train it regardless of the advancement of mobility, selecting the right technique in advance to the requirements and expectations of a specific person. This was proved by the master Joseph Pilates himself, who developed his method specifically to help rehabilitate disabled patients. Pilates is for everyone and this is what is most beautiful in it.
In Pilates, deep muscle work is an absolute priority. They are located in the stomach, at the bottom of the pelvis and the spine. This is the scaffolding on which the entire functioning of our body is based, i.e. correct posture, slender figure, good condition of internal organs and balance between body and mind. It is extremely difficult to reach them during traditional exercises. Pilates comes to the rescue here. Understanding these relationships is the first step to success. The second is discovering Pilates in a professional studio that will help you choose the right training. Good condition is at your fingertips. Just take the first step!
